COVID UPDATE

Based on the Order of the Secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Health Directing Limited-Time Targeted Mitigation made Thursday, December 10, the Clubhouse will be closed as of Saturday, December 12 through Monday, January 4, 2021. 

 

The Clubhouse operations will remain closed to all indoor activity until the State and County approve its operations to resume. This means all in-house dining, club events, meetings, the fitness center (including spa services), and the locker rooms will be closed. All Clubhouse entrance doors will be secured, and access to the Clubhouse will be restricted to authorized staff only.  We will be operating on a limited number of personnel. The front office will be staffed Wednesday through Sunday 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. 

 

The Golf Shop will remain open Wednesday through Sunday 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. The Golf Shop entrance door will be open but the gate to the Clubhouse will be closed. Please plan accordingly if you need to pick up your golf bag between now and December 31.

All outdoor recreational areas will remain open. The updated Order dated November 17, 2020 requires Universal Face Coverings face coverings outdoors when with people outside of your household or when physical distancing cannot be maintained. Please note the maximum capacity limit of ten people must be observed in the paddle hut and shooting lodge at all times. 

 

Food and Beverage service will be available on a take-out only basis beginning on Saturday, December 12. Curbside take-out will be available Wednesday through Sunday 11:30 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. In addition to the full a la carte menus, we will be offering value-priced, heat-and-serve family meal bundles along with a featured weekly ingredient and recipe box that allows you to prepare some of the chef’s favorite dishes in your home. The online ordering system has been extremely popular since its introduction earlier this year. If you have not tried online ordering yet, place your next order online to experience the ease and convenience of it (available on the club app and website). If online ordering is not for you, orders may be placed by phone (412-449-1784) beginning at 10:30 p.m. The pick-up procedure will be the same as it was previously, call the take-out number to let us know you are at the Gallery entrance, remain in your car, and we will place your order directly in your vehicle. The Weekly Curbside Grocery Express and Beverages To-Go along with special offerings will continue during this time.  If you need assistance with catering in your home, we are glad to help! Paperless Mailers Coming to FCGC!

After several years of publishing Fox Tales, activity brochures and schedules, and other important information both digitally and printed, the time has come for club mailers to go paperless. The benefits of going paperless are substantial not only for the club but for members alike. Enjoy the convenience of having club publications sent to your phone, 

computer and/or iPad instead of cluttering your desk and being able to access information when and where you choose!  Today’s technology has made digital publications attractive and easy to navigate, and communicating electronically is the most effective means to provide current, relevant information. 

We are pleased to announce that effective October 1, 2020, 

all club communications (Fox Tales, activity brochures and schedules,

 member letters, etc.) will be sent to members electronically.  

If you do not currently receive the digital version of Fox Tales and other 

Club communications via email, please contact Wendy Pulkowski

wparks@foxchapelgolfclub.com to be sure you are subscribed

 to the FCGC E-News program. Please note that all Club

 communications will continue to be posted on the Club’s website as well. 

Printed communications will be available at the Front Office

 for those who prefer printed copies.

Indoor Dining Now Available

IMPORTANT NOTICE

The Allegheny Health department announced today Friday, July 17 that indoor

 dining is permitted but reduced to 25 percent occupancy and 

outdoor dining rules remain in effect. 

The Club will resume it’s normal lunch and dinner hours of operation.

The order also limits gatherings to no more 

than 25 people inside and 250 people outside. 

Masks are required until seated at the table. 

Curbside takeout is available

 and dining reservations are recommended.

Outdoor Dinning Reopening

Important Notice

The Allegheny Health department announced yesterday that a new two (2) week order will allow outdoor dining. Indoor dining is not permitted during this two week period. Effective Friday July 10th the Club will resume it’s normal lunch and dinner hours of operation.

The order also limits gatherings to no more than 25 people inside and 50 people outside. Masks are required until seated at the table.

Curbside takeout is available and dining reservations are recommended.

Important Notice

Allegheny County officials announced additional measures to mitigate the further spread of COVID-19. The new order from the Health Department Director Dr. Debra Bogen calls for a one-week closure of bars, restaurants, and casinos and the cancellation of all activities or events over 25 persons. This order will be in effect through Friday, July 10.

This unfortunately means all dining areas inside/outside the Clubhouse will be closed.

The following will be available at Fox Chapel Golf Club during this recent order from County officials:

• Golf course, tennis courts, swimming pool, fitness center, and paddle/pickleball courts will remain open as normal
• Locker rooms will be available without food or beverage service
• Snack Stand - takeout window available with full pool menu and specials
• Swimming Pool - guests are not permitted at this time
• Curbside Takeout will be available 11:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. every day except Monday and Tuesday with full lunch and dinner menus available. Online Ordering is recommended as we will be operating with limited staff.

CLUB CLOSURE

Our primary goal is, and always has been, to keep our members and staff safe and healthy. We are continuing to follow the CDC, State of Pennsylvania, and Allegheny County protocols regarding COVID-19.  Therefore, all areas of the club, including the clubhouse, administrative offices, all golf facilities, golf course, paddle hut, paddle courts, shooting lodge, shooting range, tennis shop, tennis courts, fitness center, and all spa services (massage and sauna), will be closed as of 3:00 p.m. today until further notice.  All entrance doors will be secured.  

We ask for everyone's patience and understanding as we continue to monitor this rapidly changing situation.  We will communicate updates as they develop.  Please be well and take all precautions for you and family's well-being, and know that we stand beside you through this time.
